- Grace Flannagan was the wife of sculptor John Flannagan. Most of the letters date from the Flannagan's troubled stay in Ireland and Paris in 1930-1931. Cablegrams concern Grace Flannagan's departure sudden departure from France with her baby during one of her husband's drunks. There is another cablegram from Harry Gottlieb and Heinz Warneke arranging for Flannagan to leave Europe. The correspondence file for Heinz and Jessie Warneke in the Carl Zigrosser Papers also contain letters about the incident.
