Vol. 1, no. 2 contains "Jack Kerouac: Sept. 16, 1961, Poem" on p. 68. Several variants exist of the line beginning "This is an attempt at the easy lightness of ... poetry". These are probably deliberate alterations to Kerouac's text (which should have read "... of Chinese poetry") made without Kerouac's knowledge by the editor and publisher, Jon Edgar Webb. Recorded variants include: "... of Ciardian poetry"; "... of civilized poetry"; "... of chamber poetry"; "... of Beatnik poetry"; "... of drawing room poetry"; "... of Ciardi poetry"; and "... of wellbred poetry". For a complete discussion, cf. Moore, Dave. Kerouac & The Outsider, a puzzle, at the Empty Mirror Books website (see link below).
Vol. 1 has three issues; v. 2 is complete in one combined issue (no. 4/5).
None published between spring 1963 and winter 1968-69.
