Summary:
Extrapolating from his study of male immigrant Hispanic populations in New York City, Rodriguez proposes policy considerations: potentials for success or failure among young Hispanics, measuring according to their success or failure economically and politically, what strength they derive from ethnic identity and family, and the problems of mental health, substance abuse, and crime they may encounter, faced both with temptations from and discrimination by mainstream society.
