Subeer is a famous Indian pop singer, who loves the single life. On a visit home, however, he meets and falls in love with Uma, who has no interest in becoming a famous singer. They marry and return to Bombay and begin performing together, upon Subeer's urging. She soon becomes more popular than him, and this causes friction in their relationship.
