Breviary prepared under the personal superintendence of William Elphinstone, bishop of Aberdeen, and printed at Edinburgh by Chepman in 1508-09. Only four copies are known to exist. "The plan adopted in re-editing the Aberdeen breviary has been ... to produce ... as complete a facsimile of the two small volumes ... as was compatible with the enlargement of size, the magnificence of the type, and the due exercise of judgment in amending flagrant and patent errors, such as deformed the original impression."--Pref.
Published also as no. C of the works uniform with the Publications of the Spalding club, and as no. 96 of the Bannatyne club publications.
