Translated by F.L. Durantino.
With the exception of some corrections in the orthograpy, this edition differs very little from that of 1524, and the woodcuts are exactly the same--(Cicognara, no. 705). The initials, however, "F.M.; "I.C.", "A.M." on the border of the title, refer to Fabius Maximus, Julius Caesar, and Alexander Magnus, and not, as Cicognara supposed, to the name of the engraver or designer.
Includes index.
