Purchased for the Penn Libraries in 1959.
Penn Libraries copy has some early ms. annotations, underlines and marks in brown ink in text; early ms. notes, manicules and diagrams in brown ink on blank leaves at beginning and end of volume and pastedowns of previous binding.
Penn Libraries copy has several early ms. ownership inscriptions of Miguel Figueras (also spelled Figeras or Figera), alias Reaton, in volume: one ("iste lib[e]r e[st] mjchaelis Figueras [written above and upside-down: domjne] alias reato[n] aragone[n]ssis [...] em[...] parisi[us][?]") on blank leaf preceding title leaf; one ("iste liber es de mjcael figeras alias reaton") on verso of blank leaf preceding title leaf; and one ("iste lib[e]r e[st] michaelis figueras alias reato[n] aragonensis") at head of title leaf. Also present on verso of leaf preceding title leaf is a partially illegible note listing books owned by Figueras, which reads: "estos son los libros de maestre migel figera alias Reaton aragonensis magister sentenciarum / magorius filicrun[ensis?] [added in margin: magistery artibus parisiensis] duos gravieles / lopi[...] de la mjrandula / duas eticas / calqulaciones[?] / lor[?] cot[?] / he[n]tisberi antonjus nebrysensis".
Penn Libraries copy has on verso of leaf preceding title leaf partially illegible dated early 16th-century ms. inscription ("q[uae]ris cui[us] sim[?] tibi desunt l[...]a s[unt?] he[...] posesoris e tibi nome[n] ade[...] michael archange[us] hispann[us][?] de [...] [...]legio d[...]e barbare phisic[us] an[n]o |1|5|0|5|") possibly recording the ownership of this volume by Michael Archangelus Hispanus.
Penn Libraries copy has on leaf [rum]6v two partially illegible ms. inscriptions, possibly in the hand of Miguel Figueras, which mention the Rector of Monte Alban.
Penn Libraries copy bound in full modern tan cloth; gold-tooled black and brown leather spine label ("HEYTESBURY VENICE 1494").
Penn Libraries copy previously bound in contemporary blind-tooled calf(?) over square-edge wooden boards; evidence of 2 clasps and catchplates (1 catch intact). Left board broken vertically; leather of both boards damaged. Housed separately in accompanying box.
Penn Libraries copy has 2 photoreproductions of pastedowns (with ms. inscriptions) of previous binding laid in.
