The author's third visit to Louisiana, then a Spanish colony, in 1770-1771. His observations written during his earlier residences in the country, 1751-1757 and 1757-1762, are given in his "Nouveaux voyages aux Indes Occidentales". 1768.
"Bossu's account of his first two voyages to Louisiana was printed in 1768; after which he made a third voyage, the account of which is given in this volume--which, not having been reprinted, nor translated into any other language, is a much scarcer work than the former. There are copies with the date 1778, and with 'nouvelle édition,' on the title-page, but the edition is the same." Rich, i. p. 260.
