Summary:
Friedmann Bach was the favorite son of a famous father. Burdened however by the name "Bach", he succeeded only in the beginning to fulfill the public's expectations of him as a composer. And so it happens that, driven by need, worry and painful love, he claims one of his father's pieces as his own! When his swindle is discovered, he drops his application as candidate for the position of music director in Braunschweig. He joins a drama troupe and eventually ends up completely broke in Potsdam.
