Summary:
Director Jacques Rivette has created a two-hour version of his four hour film "La belle noiseuse". Frenhofer, a painter is frustrated by his inability to finish the canvas that was to be his masterpiece. He enlists the aid of Marianne as a model because of her energy, spontaneity and creativity.
