A letter from Gildas Bernard, directeur des services d'Archives de l'Aube, including photocopies of comparable documents in those Archives, is filed with Ms. Oversize 24. Foliation: Single leaf is numbered 99, in a contemporary or near-contemporary hand. Layout: Frame-ruled in lead for 63 long lines. Origin: Written in Troyes in 1392 [?].
From the comptes des anniversaires of the Grand-chambre du chapitre Saint-Pierre (cathedral of Troyes; see Inventaire sommaire des archives départementales de l'Aube, série G, II, p. XIV). A large number of these documents were sold by an archivist in 1829 and 1830. Formerly item 99 of a three-volume collection of manuscript fragments entitled Excerpta membranea once owned by Amans Alexis Monteil. Purchased from Francis Roux-Devillas, 1964.
