H. Cohen, in his Guide de l'àmateur, says the illustrations are mostly inventions of the author.
Ms. notes on front free end paper of Penn Libraries copy describe 2 different editions published in 1780: one with 11 lines on t.p. and long "s" letters in the text and one with 10 lines and short "s" letters in the text. Cf. Cohen col. 475.
