Prisons (Scotland) Act 1877, and the Secretary for Scotland Acts 1885 to 1889. Rule made by the Secretary for Scotland appointing the new prison lately erected at Inverness, a legal place for detention for all descriptions of criminal and civil prisoners and providing that all rules and orders applicable to the present prison of Inverness shall be applicable to the said new prison [electronic resource].
