Summary:
Many historical figures such as Moliere, Vauban, Victor Hugo, the Countess de Segur or Pasteur, were all individuals or representatives of entities that used a notary, affixing their signatures to the document in the minutes after having heard and accepted the content. The treasures accumulated by the professional activity of Parisian notaries, entrusted since 1932 to Minutier central Paris, are in themselves a gallery of the history of France. The events that were notarized included acts as diverse as marriage contracts, donations, bequests and inventories after death, deposits patent constitutions of companies, real estate sales, quotes and marches. The one hundred twenty two studies of Parisian notarial presented here provide exceptional testimony to French history.
