The engravings are chiefly portraits and arms; the woodcuts are arms, a few portraits, a full-page view of the city and a few battle scenes, etc., the latter apparently from stock cuts. The doublepage engraved view of the city is signed: Petr. Bast. au. et sculp. 1598.

Seen through the press after the author's death by Anton Hering and Hermann Neuwald. Hering altered some passages to suit the purposes of the ruling house and Neuwald contributed the continuation from 1595 to 1599 (p. 482-493). For discussion, see Rüthning.
