"The whole Book may be divided into volumes as follows: The first volume to begin with Genesis; the 2d with Deuteronomy; the 3d with 1 Kings; the 4th with Job; the 5th with Proverbs; the 6th with Ezekiel; the 7th to contain The Apocrypha; the 8th to begin with Matthew; the 9th with The Epistle to the Romans. The Prefaces and Notes are to be placed at the end of the volume to which they belong. The Index and Tables are to be placed at the end of the 9th volume, after the Notes."--Directions to the Binder (v. 6).
