The disc was presented by two of the authors at the Festival D'Automne à Paris in October 2011. Sound disc also issued with a book with transcriptions of songs in Tzotzil and a translation into Spanish, biographical data on the singers and shamans, with 100 black and white photographs taken by Tsotsil photographers.
Disc issued in case constructed of tri-fold corrugated cardboard, 48 x 16 cm, folded to 16 x 16 cm, colored with black and silver paint. Front cover appears to be a face; back cover title and publication information, and a list of the disc contents in silver on black. Interior shows black background with lit candles in silver.
Text accompanied by photographed portraits printed with silver metallic ink on black paper and with a single photograph (p. 100) printed in full color. Some text printed in silver on black paper, some printed in black on brown kraft paper. Bound to thick handmade paper boards with title printed in black on spine. Front cover takes shape of a relief sculpture of a mask, with a cut-out opening at the mouth. Pocket inside back cover holds sound disc. Issued in a custom cardboard box with a pixelated portrait printed onto exterior, and with a partial title on spine, and with a listing of tracks from the sound disc on bottom.
