Text is part of a sub-commentary on Mahādeva Bhaṭṭa's Muktāvalīprakāśa, the Pratyakṣakhaṇḍa (itself a commentary on Gaṅgeśa's work of the same name); it is a commentary on the part called Śabdapariccheda, a work of Nyāya-Vaiśeṣika philosophy.
