Notes:
Title derived from drawings & Stamm checklist entry for HABS-NJ-891.
All of the images included here are on HABS stationary & give documentation which show them to be part of the 1973, 1974 & 1977 Cape May survey drawings, as noted in the Cape May handbook (1977), p.76. However, no HABS number or drawing numbers are given on the sheets. The sheets include miscellaneous maps, site plans & detail drawings, which may or may not correspond to the images collected under the Stamm list HABS number NJ-891.
Drawing nos. HABS-NJ-891*009 & 010 (Oct. 1977) includes a legend "Structures documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey", which enumerates 30 structures shown on the map. These structures include, for example, no. 18. William Weightman Cottage, which is not found in the Stamm checklist (1983). This may indicate a preliminary drawing, one which showed structures not finally accepted by HABS.
