CJS Rare copy bound in portion of a Hebrew manuscript parchment leaf written in a semi-cursive 14th/15th-century Ashkenazic hand; double columns are still visible with 45 lines of text. There are two bold paragraph openings, one on the first column (beginning "אל נא | תעינו כשה אובד") and the second with the word "למען"; both are written in a square 13th century Ashkenazic hand. The text is a commentary on the Hosh'ana rabah piyutim; quoted in the first column is a variant of the Jerusalem Talmud (Ta'anit 10b-11a) "משל למלך שהיה לו מפתח של פלמנטרין" (line 12).
