Formerly owned by Samuel Zucker, later Samuel Sugar of New Orleans and Bastrop, Louisiana (inscriptions on both paste-downs in Hebrew and English), including the marriage of Solomon Zucker to Matilda Forchheimer by Reverend Gutheim of Shanarai-Chassat Congregation in New Orleans, 12 December 1852. Passed from father Solomon to son Isadore Sugar (1853-1919) of New Orleans.
