Summary:
A film showing highlights from a visit to Burma by Chairman of the USSR, Nikolai Bulganin, and Member of the Supreme Soviet, Nikita Khrushchev. The film opens with scenes of the streets and architecture of Rangoon, before showing footage from Bulganin and Khrushchev's visit in December 1955. Includes scenes of their arrival at Rangoon airport where they are greeted by Prime Minister U Nu and President Ba A, their visit to ancient Buddhist shrines and a Peace Pagoda in Rangoon's outskirts, and their attendance at a festival on Inya Lake where a rowing competition takes place and spectators watch from narrow rowing boats. They also visit the Shan Plateau, the Irrawaddy River and Mandalay.
