In this issue the last 6 stanzas are not in proper sequence; in a later issue pages 8 and part of pages 7 have been reset to correct the sequence and marginal glosses have been added on pages 2 and 7. The latter gloss is dated: 10 March 1646 [1647].
In support of the royalist cause.
Not to be confused with "The nevv letanie" a broadside imitation with some duplication of lines (first line: From an extemporary prayer, and a godly ditty).
