Brothers Jimmy and Terry Dougherty recall their rise and fall in 1970s marijuana smuggling. Starting as kids happy to sell drugs in exchange for some of their own, the brothers gradually became involved in bigger and bigger operations. When one of their associates cheated a farmer out of payment for use of his landing strip, the FBI caught on to what they were doing. Despite prison sentences, neither brother really feels any sense of guilt about what they did.
